I’ve always been drawn to the lore behind Aragorn’s ability to heal, as it further reveals the compassion of his character, and fulfills a long held prophecy that “the hands of the King are the hands of a healer.”

This original painting was made using watercolor, ink and colored pencil on watercolor paper, and comes hand-signed on the front, titled and dated on the back.

The size measures 9x12 inches (22.9x30.5cm).

Frame NOT included.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0603/5541/2058/files/Athelas-Original-Wood-Background_b074eb4e-3de4-4d04-bf5f-7f3a1cdae1ec.jpg?v=1793869291
the-unknown-original-painting
"The Unknown" Original Painting

This painting is inspired by the animated series “Over the Garden Wall.” I think Over the Garden Wall connects to a deep place in a lot of us that reminds us what it feels like to be a kid. The words on the banner are taken from the “Wedding Song” in the show, sung between the idealist, Orpheus, and the realist, Eurydice, as they’re attempting to find a balance between love and survival, self-preservation and belonging.

I chose to create it in an Art Nouveau style because I thought it would relate nicely to the theme of anti-industrialization that runs through the show, and the beauty of human creation over machine-made.

This original painting was made using watercolor and colored pencil on watercolor paper, and comes hand-signed on the front, titled and dated on the back.

The size measures 9x12 inches (22.9x30.5cm).

Frame NOT included.

This painting was inspired by the coming of Autumn, and how it relates to the seasons of life.
